If you disagree with the rating of a particular trial listed on PsycBITE, you can contact us. Please use the message text box to specify the author, title and source of the trial in question, along with your reason for why you think the trial has been incorrectly rated. If possible, be particular about the location/place in the article where specific information supporting your claim can be found (page number, column number, paragraph number, line number).
We appreciate your effort and will assess your suggestion carefully. If you wish we will let you know about the outcome subsequently.
Please let us know of any trial or study that you think should be on PsycBITE by providing us with the reference details. We will then check our records and include the study in the database if it meets our selection criteria. The more details you can provide, the more likely it is that we will be able to find it.
If you are the author of a paper that you think ought to be on PsycBITE but is not, please contact us.
We would be grateful if you could let us know of any errors you may come across, e.g. an incorrect source, a wrong indexing category, inconsistent search results, etc. Please use our contact form for this. You can simply copy and paste the inaccurate record from the “Detailed Search Results” into the message box. Please also describe the error that has been made and we will check the according record.
Copyright permission from the publisher of each journal is required to publish the abstracts on PsycBITE. For some papers we are waiting to receive permission, for others, unfortunately copyright permission has been declined. We apologise if this causes any inconvenience.
If you are interested in rating some of our trials, particularly those that interest you, we would be more than grateful for your assistance. Contact us to join the PsycBITE Raters Network. At the moment, the rater training includes a face-to-face workshop where the Rating criteria is imparted. We are currently working on an online version of the rater training which will enable long-distance training and email tutoring for raters who cannot attend our workshops.
You can join the PsycBITE mailing list by becoming a member of PsycBITE. Please go to the Contact page and fill in the form.
You can read more about PsycBITE on the Info page. This is where you can find information on the background and the set-up of the database. If you cannot find the answer to your question there, please contact us with your query and we will try to help you further.
The PsycBITE selection criteria limit the inclusion of articles on the database. The aim is to make the searches highly efficient for clinicians, students and researches. The benefit compared to big databases: we pre-scan, categorise and rate for methodological quality.
